Joining and hardening technology

Joining and hardening technology

Our specialties include manual and robot-assisted welding of special tools – i.e. manual, semi-automated and fully automated welding. The production of our tools takes place on more than 20 ultra-modern machines, which we keep up-to-date with a large-scale investment. Our products are joined in a temperature range between 750 °C and 1,100 °C using silver and copper solders.

For many years, we have been dealing with new technologies in joining and hardening technology, and have consistently developped them further. These include adhesive bonding techniques that can replace a soldered joint. In addition, we have already developed and successfully used the first tools that are manufactured completely without the use of solder or adhesive in a high-pressure sintering process. And in the field of welding, our welding engineers are distinguished by the highest level of competence.

Loading is the first process step. Here, the previously pretreated base body is provided with solder and the carbides are positioned on it.

Equipping

In order to obtain flawless and visually appealing products after the preceding production steps, our tools are sandblasted in a post-treatment step. Through this process, we achieve special shape and surface qualities.

What is referred to in the automotive industry as a “marriage” is, in our company, the welding of the tools. In this way, we create a stable connection between the base body and our carbide.
