At BETEK, we develop and design all tools in close consultation with the machine manufacturers. This means that our solutions are optimally matched to the respective machines and thus offer the best performance with minimum wear. During design development, our engineers and designers use the finite element method (FEM), among other methods, to test our solutions for strength and deformation.
Just as with the projects for our customers, it is also essential for our own development projects to support them on site and to contribute our know-how, for example, also in field tests. Irrespective of this, numerous test series have always been routine at Betek, in order to permanently test the performance of our own products. The information gained from this, often gathered on an international basis, is immediately evaluated and integrated into the further development of the product portfolio. This test program guarantees that, at Betek, only products that have proven themselves in use reach market maturity and are launched.
We opened our own InnoLab in the summer of 2022. There, we map the entire production chain on state-of-the-art equipment on a trial scale – this is how we gain important insights into our workflows and processes. As a central development site, the InnoLab enables us to make numerous new developments, particularly in the areas of material composition, powder metallurgy and joining. State-of-the-art testing facilities are used to analyze and evaluate our intermediate and end products, and to validate our results.
